It wasn’t the first time I've been this alone. My mom would always work late and my little sister usually writes to her friends and watches the owl fly two blocks away and a minute later come back with a reply. Delphi's only eight so she isn’t able to go wandering down the streets alone. I never have the time to take her anywhere since I study so darn much. I don’t know why I do so but it's just what I do when I'm bored. As I stared out of my warm, dirty, glass windows and watch Hoot - Delphi's owl - fly back into her window with a new letter I push my hand against the glass and look down at the fresh green grass. I opened my window and at that moment the smell of summer filled my nose. Tired of redoing the same spell over and over, I walked to my closet and pulled out a long broomstick, which had what looked like rocket boosters on the back; my pride, and most of all, most joyous things I had owned. Picking it up I glanced at the mirror behind it and smiled at my slender figure. I wore a tight white shirt with long boot cut scratched up jeans and beat up sneakers. Pushing my hair back behind my ear, I closed the closet and ran back to my window, climbing onto my broom. In a flash my nose again smelled the short, green grass, the wild dandelions, and the delicious smells coming down the street from the Bakery. With my hair flying behind me I went straight up into the air full speed and slowly climbed higher into a cloud. A bird fluttered passed, dazing at the sight of me, flew into a tree as I peaked to the top of my climb and started to descend, flipping upside down and spinning to gain speed. The ground came closer and closer, the small tiny dots, - apparently houses - growing larger, as I slowed down and zigzagged happily through the winds. Sooner than expected I was five feet from my sister's large open window and her owl came crashing into me, feathers everywhere, making me fly into Delphie's Quiddich covered room and slam against the wall, barely missing a poster of Victor Krum and Harry Potter standing together with angry expressions not looking at each other. "Ow." I said, not bothering to climb out from under her fallen beachwood dresser, clothes piled on top of me. "You should really watch where you're going." Delphie said sitting at a desk next to the window. "You might break something Sophie. Including yourself." She hadn't even blinked. She held up her arm for the bird to perch upon and tied a letter to its leg as the bird chirped happily. "I got a better idea." I said picking up the mess I had just caused, waving my wand. "Give Hoot a break. We can take it to your friend. I'm tired of chanting and waving over and over the same spell." Delphie lifted her head and smiled widely at me tearing off the letter she just wrote from the bird and ran to her closet to get her smaller version of my broom. The only thing hers didn’t have were the "boosters". But it didn't matter; Delphie was a great flier so she didn't need rockets to keep up with me. I tied my hair back with a white scrunchie and paused for my sister to get her cloak. "Accio cloak!" I exclaimed with a slender piece of wood pointed out the window; a few seconds later a long black cloak came magically flying towards me into my hand. I put it on and Delphie mounted her broom, ready to go. Placing my wand in my back pocket I also got on my broom and nodded at her, who nodded back. We both flew off out of the large, rectangular window and I flicked my wand at the house, making all the doors and windows close and lock. Not long after we flew upwards the two of us paused in between the fluffy gray clouds over-looking the neighborhood. "Where are we going?" I asked Delphie curiously with no hint of fear as I looked down upon the tiny little houses underneath us.
"I want you to meet my new friend, Arian. He's really nice," she said to me yelling it first but softer as our ears got used to the pressure in the atmosphere. "You'll like him."
"Alright then, do you know where he lives?" I questioned her, she nodded quickly a yes and I smiled in return. "Lead the way."
She smirked at me and dashed forward leaving me behind. *Heh, she knows she can’t out fly me. * I thought as I zoomed behind her catching up steadily not taking me eyes off the backend of the boom, which was growing larger as I got closer. My cloak flapped in the wind and the birds flying in the same direction flinched and twittered and squawked like crazy as we whooshed past them in a flash. Two minutes died away and we already landed at the front door. My feet were the first to reach the ground; Delphie not far behind.
"Dang it." she muttered under her breath.
I just flashed a smirk in her general direction and looked at the huge manor. It was a giant mansion of black and gray bricks. The feeling over it was potentially scary with a teaspoon of passion. The bitter coldness and thin fog surrounding the top layer of perfectly cut grass didn't help the shudders of fear and exciting danger overcome me. Looking up there were multiple balconies hanging off the building scattered throughout the place and smoke was rapidly rising from the main tunnel attached to the fireplace somewhere inside the castle.
"Whoa." I said to no one in particular staring up at the beautiful work of art. "Who lives here again?"
"Actually the Malfoy's live here but Arian is an exchange student and he's going to Hogwarts for a year. Arain is from France."
I nodded slowly not taking my eyes off the large wooden door as Delphie knocked on it. A sound came from behind and it slowly opened the reveal a boy about a head taller than me. Hit white blonde hair and his pale face got color in it as soon as his beautiful blue gleaming eyes stared up at me. I quickly looked down and stared at my feet.
"Sophie, this is Draco. Draco, well you don’t know me really, but my name's Delphie. This is my older sister, Sophie. She's a --- " Delphie whispered something at me and I returned her question giggling to myself. " --- a 7th year." I waved at him gently and he smirked. His smirk was just as handsome as he was.
"Um, hey. You must be here for Arian. He told me about a new friend named Delphie." Draco said pleasantly in a cold, yet heartwarming voice as we nodded. "Actually, he went out for a bit. You can come in if you want."
"Sure," I said quickly before I could stop myself. Draco smirked again and motioned us in. Delphie followed him and I behind her, being guided to another room. We kept walking as I looked around at the armored soldiers lined up against the wall full of ancient dusty 18th century rugs.
"They aren't real men, but there's probably a spell to make 'em walk and stuff." Draco said as if talking to himself breaking the silence and turning around.
Without thinking yet again I pulled out my wand and waved it to the closest knight in armor. Slowly it stepped down off the risen part for the models and started to walk towards us. It followed my wand and I placed it back in its individual spot standing on its head.
"Heh, nice one. You a Hufflepuff?" Draco asked impressed.
"No, actually I go to a school called Cornillianis. It's an all-girls-school. Gets pretty boring with no guys around." I slapped my hand over my mouth and blushed. Whispering a "sorry" I flipped the soldier right side up and put my wand away.
"Corny is what I call it." Delphie piped up. "I think they have the worst layout for grounds ever. The place is an acre long and an acre wide and there are only four places you get privacy in. The bathrooms even have holes that people can peek through. It's hard to find a place to sit down and write to my friends without someone asking 'what's that for?' It's so annoying!" she finished.
"That sounds horrible!" Malfoy snickered sarcastically. "Well I'm in Slytherin, so watch out, I'm a handful." I giggled a bit and he smirked my way. He started to walk again and we followed. Shortly after we turned into a smaller yet fairly large bedroom. "Sit." He said, pointing to the bed. "I'll get Arian." Draco left and soon came back in a few minutes later with a small french boy with jeans and a gray sweatshirt.
"Allow!" He said in his accent, waving at us.
"Hi Arian!" Delphie exclaimed, running and hugging him. He blushed slightly and said something to her quietly.
"Why don’t you guys go play outside?" Draco told them. Nodding they left him and me alone. In a bedroom. I looked around the cluttered bedroom filled with junk and clothes everywhere. The wall had pictures of snakes and old photos of people filled a billboard. Spell books and papers scattered throughout the floor lightly and the only spotless area was his desk; on which had a staulky owl sleeping and its filthy cage hanging next to it. "Don't mind the mess,” he said sitting on the bed facing toward me. "So lets see that wand of yours."
I pulled out my wand and he admired it fathomably. "It's a blackthorn with one unicorn tail hair and phoenix feather." I explained to him turning the piece of wood in my hand showing a wavy like mark on the side. "I got in trouble for that. I was supposed to be in bed but I went out and battled an enemy of mine. I almost lost but I remembered their weakness. Silly me, how could I forget that? Anyways..." Draco chuckled and took out his wand and stood up. "Want to duel?" he asked without even a moment’s hesitation. I thought for a second and replied with a nod. He held out his hand and I slowly reached for it. I grabbed it and he whispered, "Hold on tight." just before pulling me to his chest and a loud pop sounded as everything disappeared around us. It felt as though my body had been forced through a tiny hole and my bones crushed beneath a giant’s foot. Ears popping, we finally stopped and a background was shown again. Flowers of purple, yellow, blue, and red covered the wide area and clean glass filled the sky above. My arms grasped around hit waist still, holding on as hard as I could, he looked at me. I opened my eyes and looked up into his. Blushing again I let go quickly and pretended to see something interesting on the ground.
"Ready?" Draco asked.
I shook my head and backed away, raising my wand in attack position. Draco raised his a bit but with little concern. "Ladies first." He bowed.
"I bowed back and without a word sparks flew out of my wand and towards him. He yelled "Expeliarmus!" and I blocked it easily without even a word coming from my mouth. I sent a jet of disarming spells back at him and his wand flew right out of his hand. Draco fell to the ground on him butt and he reached for his wand. "Impedimenta!" I exclaimed, aiming for him. He sat there on the ground, stunned, still reaching for his wand. *Oh, shoot! I overdid it again! * My mind said as I ran over to him and whispered, "Ennervate." pointing my wand at his chest. As he came back to life, color flowed back to him slowly.
Draco's arm fell to his side and he looked up at me and smirked once again. "Not bad. I see you have practiced doing spells without even saying them physically. Very hard magic. Perfect for dueling."
"Yeah, I don't feel much like talking most of the time and all I do at home is study because none of my friends live nearby."
"Well, I'll be honored to be your friend. And you can come over any time you like."
"Thanks. I'll consider it."
I sat down next to him and looked around at the beautiful flowers and the sunlight shining on them. "You have pretty flowers."
"Thanks. They grow magically. They don’t need humans to tend to their care. Always perfect." Draco replied watching me look around in awe. He stood up, brushed himself of dust, and held out his hand. I took it and he once again jerked me upwards toward him. It felt as though I flew for a second time and he caught me with his arm around my waist. The flowers flowed in the breeze, and it seemed like they were coming in for a better look. Standing there seemed forever gazing up into his eyes.

About time I post on here. I finally got a name for this story. See the thread name for it. Hope you like it. Here's a continuance of the story...
"Im sorry." I said as I backed away from Draco. "I dont even know you."
"Thats ok. I understand." Draco replied with an invisible smirk on his face, sneering to himself. ~I'll get her yet. No one can withstand Draco Malfoy.~ "Hungry?"
I nodded my head a no and just a second later my stomach growled. "I guess I am a little hungry."
He smirked and motioned me forward as he walked in front of me. The flowers surrounding us blew in the wind softly and the white clouds crawled past through while I looked up through the fuzzy windows making the clouds blur as we walked towards the doors back into the house. Draco walked back through the house with me following behind, looking back at me sometimes and smirking at me. Wondering what he was thinking about we walked through the large doors creaked open as we encountered them. As we went through a huge kitchen revealed with pots and pans hanging everywhere, a giant sink against the wall, and a large island for eating at where Draco sat at. He took out hit wand, flicked it at the nearby giant stainless-steel fridge against the wall and it flew open, cool air flowing neatly from it. Out of it came two boxes of neapolitan ice cream, floating towards the island.
"Sit." He said, motioning me forward, patting on the bench to sit next to him. I rolled my eyes, smiled, and jumped in next to him. Draco handed me one of the two tubs of ice cream and pulled out two spoons from the drawer under the counter. "Here you go."
As the two of us finished eating in between our laughs and conversations I finally got up and searched around to try to find the trashcan. "Hey Draco, wheres the trashcan?"
"Dont worry about it." He replied, snapping his fingers. A loud pop! made me jump as a small ugly little creature appeared out of nowhere.
"Yes Master Malfoy? You called for Welbi?" It said in a very creaky high-pitched voice low enough to be a males. Its large ears covered its head, which I mistakenly took for an old worn out basketball. It wore a couple of poorly stitched together cloths around its body, or at least tried to wear fore it slowly kept sliding down off its shoulder.
"Take Miss Sophie's trash for her." Draco ordered it slouching down a bit. "And mine too." The creature bowed slightly and disappeared again along with both of our trash.
"Cool, you have a house elf." I said out loud, but mainly to myself. "What else do you have? A waterslide that runs from the roof to the living room?"
"Well not to the living room." He said playing around. My jaw dropped open then he smirked and said, "Just playing with you. But I could probably get one if I wanted it."
Rolling my eyes I went back over and sat back next to Draco on the cushioned oak bench. "I think its time we left. Tomorrow Delphi and I have to go shopping for school stuff. Our letters should have arrived by now. Its been a long day." I told Draco who was watching my eyes as they looked from the large open window back into his. I had a strong craving to get on my broom and fly around in circles as fast as I could. I had no idea why.
"Actually, you're right. I think my letter is soon to come also. I might see you around." He sighed and got up from where he sat, spun around, and held out his hand for me.
"Why thank you." I exclaimed, taking his hand.
He thrusted me forward for the third time and scooped me up once more, holding my waist close to his body. My hand cautiously crept up to Dracos warm chest and stopped right over his heart. "I guess I would consider the last few hours of talking getting to know you better." I told him as he looked into my eyes, raising an eyebrow. "Although," I said, but Draco cut me off when he crashed his lips on my own. My emotions fluctuated. His kiss comforted and soothed me. Chills were going up and down my spine. I opened my eyes as he pulled away.
"Thats only a small sample of what I can do. If you want more you'll have to come back another time." He said smirking as I very lightly blushed.
"Then I just might see you soon." I chuckled. "Anyways, we best be off. I should go find Delphi."
"Well hold on tight." Draco told me as I wrapped my arms around him neck and held on tight. "Ack! Not that tight!"
"Oh, sorry Draco." I said loosening my grip a bit.
He smirked, put him arms around me and we vanished. As we got squeezed through the invisible hole again we suddenly arrived at another garden; this one outside with roses vined along the walls of the large green maze made of finely cut ten-foot tall bushes. The two children sat at a small pond, giggling, and tossing rocks across the water and fish coming up to try to catch the rocks thinking its food. The noise of the two of us aparating made Arian and Delphi jump and turn around witnessing me clinging to Draco while he had his arms around my waist.
"Thats a nice look for you, Sophie." Delphi giggled as I jumped back to life and let of Draco, sneering at her and muttering to myself, "I was comfortable."
"Delphi its time to go home. Our owls have probably dropped off our letters and we need to pick up out stuff for school tomorrow." I told her.
Delphi sighed and hung her head while walking over to me. We summoned our brooms and mounted them and waved to our new friends. We shot off into the air and I got what I was craving for; the wind blowing through my hair, the fresh air rushing past, and the birds having seizures by the sight of us flying in the air with them. I looked down at Dracos mansion and it was still huge considering that my sister and I were about 200 feet up. I looked back at Delphi and she was nothing but clouds in the sky. Great, I lost her, I thought to myself. Oh well, now I can take my time. Shrugging, I flew off in the opposite direction and headed straight for a massive forest. I dived in, dodging the trees that now surrounded me. Slowing down I looked around for an opening to land in. There it was the stump. I stopped in mid air and landed right next to a giant hollow three-foot stump. I placed my broom down on the ground and looked inside the large piece of wood from above. "Rauw!" exclaimed a small baby dragon that popped its head up from its hiding place. "Hey Drey!" I told the tiny scaly being. "I brought something for you." I pulled a small rat out of my pocket and Drey perked up and jumped on top of the stump, trying to get to the dead animal I held up out of its reach. I tossed it up in the air and Drey caught it easily with its tail and ripped the head off and ate it. It chomped the rest of the body down and it chirped happily. "You know, that is disgusting." Drey giggled and jumped into my arms. "You also know that today is the last day I will be able to see you until winter break. You know how to scavenge though so you can get your own food." I saw the look in Drey's eyes and cuddled with him. "Oh, it wont be all that bad. You will have plenty of time to teach yourself to fly, which you will be doing while Im gone right?" Drey nodded and I smiled but then frowned. "I'll miss you little buddy." I rubbed Dreys belly while humming a small tune I learned when I was small that put me to sleep always. He fell asleep soon after and I placed him back in his stump.
Picking up and gripping my broom I mounted it quickly before the little dragon got up again and lifted myself up off the ground. Meandered around the trees, zoomed past the houses, and finally arrived back at the window of mine which was open already. I slowly glided over into my room and jumped down from my broom. Placing the large wooden machine back in my closet and ran down the stairs, jumping over the top step that creaks when too much pressure is placed upon it and stumbled over to the pile of mail under the door. Hurriedly searching for the letter that I had been waiting for over the summer, tossing away all the junk in the pile aside. A stopped and glared at the mail, going through it over and over again, but couldnt find what I was looking for.
"Looking for something?" Delphi asked me, giggling, waving a white letter with an unfamiliar handwriting on the front and a strange stamp on the back.
"Delphi, give it!" I dashed over to her frantically trying to get the note from her as she ran into the kitchen, behind the island, keeping away from me. "Give me the bloody letter!" I yelled; a little bit of whine in my voice.
"Whats the magic word?" She taunted me.
"Accio letter!" I waved my wand towards it and it flew over to my hand. Trembling, trying to open it.
"Hey! You're supposed to say please!" My little sister groaned.
"Thank you." I added, running back up the stairs to my room. I stopped where I stood with the envelope unwrapped on the floor and the components in my hands. "What the--?"[/color]

"Delphi, hurry up! We're going to be late!" I yelled pushing my cart of things pilled on top of one another towards platform 9 and 3/4. Looking at the ticket again and staring at platforms 9 and 10 I was dumbfounded.
"Of all the days to sit and stare you had to choose today now." Delphi said catching up. "Dont worry, I heard someone else say to just run into the wall between the two platforms. Look, there goes someone now." She said pointing to a guy with red hair run into the wall and disappear inside it.
I was shocked but not as much when Mom, Delphi, and I went to Diagon Alley. I almost fell over watching the bricks all rearange themselves. I mean this IS the wizard world so what would you expect? Delphi jogged me back to life when she bumped into my cart. My new snowy owl's cage fell down off the pile of suitcases filled with school things. The battered cage rolled a few feet before someone's hand reached out and picked it up. I dashed over with my cart, my sister following.
"I'm sorry, Sophie. I didn't mean to." Delphi murmured, staring down at her feet.
"It's ok. It was an accident." I replied smiling over at Delphi.
"Here." Said the guy that was attached to the extended hand with my owl's cage in it and a dizzy looking owl.
"Thanks." I said, taking my owl and putting the suitcases back in a pile on the cart and placing my owl on top again not looking up while doing so.
"You might want to be more careful with that." Arian said from behind the boy who just gave back the owl.
"Arian!" Delphi exclaimed running over jumping on him. They both laughed and the unknown guy walked over closer to me.
"Oh, hi Sohpie. This is Harry Potter. He's a friend of mine." Arian said when he saw Harry walk up to me.
"Oh, hello. The name's Sophie Romevu." I smiled, shaking his hand.
"Hi. As you know I'm Harry Potter." He said, smiling happily.
"Hey, um Arian where's Draco?" I asked questioningly. As those words slipped out of my mouth Harry's expression flopped around.
"Oh, he's already on the train. He and Mr. Potter don't really get along." Arian replied, getting uncomfortable just talking about Draco in front of Harry. "Well, we better be off. The train is abbout to leave so you should get your seats quickly."
I nodded and started to wheel my cart over to the baggers and Harry yelled, "Nice to meet you!" in my direction. Nodding again I left the cart and walked up the stairs of the train. Pauseing for a second I stuck my head back out and yelled over to Delphi, "Hey Delphi, you coming?"
"I'm gonna sit with Arian if that's ok with you." She said back to me.
"Ok." I told her, smiling. "Just don't get into any trouble." With that I walked back into the train and closed the door behind me.
Meanwhile...(In Draco's POV)
*What the hell? I can't believe that she would do such a thing.* I pouted, slouching down in my seat, waiting for the train's regular route to the castle to start.
"Hey Drakey!" Squealed a girl, coming into the compartment.
*Great. Just when I thought it couldnt get any worse, it does.* I thought as the girl sat down next to me, closer than usual. "Hey Pansey." I said sighing.
"What's wrong Drakey?" Pansey said, turning her body towards me and tilting her head a bit to the side.
"For one thing I'm not telling you. And stop calling me that." I replied, slightly annoyed.
Footsteps were heard coming down the corridor and paused right in front of the door, showing a standing silouette on the other side. The door slid open and Arian appeared from behind it. Delphi walked over not long after, stopped, put her arms around Arian's neck and rested her chin on his shoulder.
"Mind if we sit with you?" Arian asked in his French accent.
"Sure." I replied, *As long as I'm not alone with this girl.* I said in my head, sighing.
The two walked in and sat down across the little coop.
"So where's Potter?" I asked the two.
"Oh, he went to sit with his friends and I didnt think there would be enough room in that compartment." Arian replied.
"And plus I heard Potter is friends with a mudblood." Delphi said with a grudged look upon her face.
*She would make a great Slytherin. * I thought, chuckling. *Oh yeah, Delphi said both her and her sister got into Hogwarts so Sophie must be here somewhere. I better get to her before that Potter, Weaselbie, and Mudblood do so first. * "I'm gonna be right back," I told the three who were talking about who knows what. I wasnt paying attention. When Pansy asked where I was going I just snapped back, "Does it matter?" I got up, slid the door open and stepped out into the hallway before she could answer. My body swayed from side to side as the trains intense movement followed the tracks towards my new home for the year. Looking up and down the hall I spotted a small first year, which ran into the bathroom at the end of the hallway. I dont even have to do anything do make the little brats run. While I strode past a couple compartments my ears picked up a sound I thought I wouldnt hear ever again. Well, at least not for the longest time. Stopping every movement in my body I listened closely to make sure it was what I thought I heard. Clearly it was her voice. She was singing so softly and sweetly some song I had yet to know.
Back in Sophies POV
*I wonder what this school will be like? * I asked myself silently. *Its probably full of half bloods and mudbloods. I cant believe they made me go to this place. Well, I did kind of make a big commotion at the other school with that fight, but it was nothing. Its not like anyone got seriously hurt--except for her, but she was the one I was aiming for. * I heard the door slide open gently and a boy was shown in the doorway. "Oh, hello Draco."
"Ms. Sophie," He said politely, nodding slightly, not taking his eyes off mine. "Mind if I sit with you?"
"No, not at all! Here," I said moving my smaller bag that I had carried on board with me into my lap.
Draco sat down opposite from me right next to the window and stared out of it for a while. I pulled my legs up onto the seat and wrapped my arms around them with my nose buried between my knees while I closed my eyes. Something moved and I felt a little bit of movement next to me on the seat. I was so tired I didnt bother to look but the instant I felt an arm go around me, my head shot up and there was Draco, looking down at me, smiling. For some reason it made me smile back. I placed my head back down on my knees and closed my eyes once again. Not long after, I fell sound asleep.
The train suddenly stopped and I awoke from my slumber. Surprisingly, I awoke in Dracos lap who was also sleeping while leaning against the wall. Smiling, I lifted my head and nudged him softly, which didnt wake him up at all. I rolled my eyes and shoved him as hard as I could and he fell off the seat yelling, "Potter did it!" I laughed and helped him up, this time I jerked him. Face to face, he raised an eyebrow and kissed me on the cheek.
"We should get going. Everyone seems to be getting off." I said looking out the window. I noticed something and then thought for a second. "Oh no! We didnt change into our robes! Crap, and I cant find my wand." I mumbled, rummaging through my bag. I looked up and Draco had his robes appeared on his body and had his wand pointed at me. Immediately I ducked and put my bag over my head. He chuckled and I just sat there on the ground. "Thats not funny. Warn me before you point your wand at me. I get jumpy!"
His wand, still pointed at me, sent waves through the air and magically changed my clothes for me. I looked down at my apparel and cried out, "Draco!" A long, sleek, silk red dress flowed down to my knees. The upper part of the dress was tight and showed every curve I had.
"Sexy." He said, stretching the word as much as possible.
"Just give me some robes." I ordered him, slightly annoyed.
"Fine. You take all the fun out of it." He said, waving his wand and robes appeared on me.
"Good, I should. Its more fun on my part." I giggled. "Thanks. What would I do without you?"
"Die?" He suggested. "Nah, we cant let that happen, can we?"
We took out bags that we carried on, walked out into the hallway and left the train.
